BRILLIANT philosophical and scientific conversation between 2 brilliant guys: author Mark Gober and researcher Alec Zeck. Primary topic is the medical system. Mark Gober is the author of An End to Upside Down Thinking (2018), which won the IPPY award for best science book of the year. The basic “upside down” nature of current science being this:
Current-day science assumes that the only reality is the material, physical world (“matter”) of the 5 senses and that consciousness evolves from “dead” unconscious matter as that matter develops the required “neural network” over eons of evolution. Mark Gober’s central thesis is that consciousness itself is the “reality” and that the physical world/universe exists only as a state within consciousness. In philosophical terms, consciousness “precedes” (is a higher order of reality than) the material world.
Hence what we call “modern science” is “upside down.”
He’s written a series of books since then on the “upside down” theme, the latest being “An End to Upside Down Medicine” (2023).
He is also the host of the podcast “Where Is My Mind?” (2019). Additionally, he serves on the Board of the Institute of Noetic Sciences and the School of Wholeness and Enlightenment.
